End of the week math...

knives + bagels + fingers = danger
having band-aids on hand = good idea
emergency trip to Meijer to purchase band-aids = not fun
finger tip band-aids = amazing
getting chips and salsa while at Meijer = yummy
typing without the use of your index finger = hard
eating chips and salsa + listening to Green Day (thanks Sarah) + end of the week math = good time

Come on trumpets...

Ah the sounds of band camp. [Insert band camp joke here.] Those familiar drum beats, it's kinda soothing. I know it might sound weird but it's true, after spending three summers hating band camp, hearing the missed beats and the yelling drum majors brings back memories...not all bad.

Situation: Comedy...

I will admit it I have been known to watch a reality series or two...or three. What I really love is a well written comedy so to say that I am really excited for the upcoming Bravo reality series Situation: Comedy would be an understatement. Not only does this reality hope to help create a really well written scripted comedy, it is hosted by Will & Grace's Sean Hayes--Just Jack--oh yeah and some other guy. I guess we will just have to wait and see if anything comes out from this show.

Fun stuff...

While looking around the inter-web (thanks Katherine) I came across some really fun sites. Some I had been told about like Dinosaur Comics and Overqualified, while others were a complete surprise. McSweeney's has a bunch of fun stuff includeing McSweeney's Recomends, on this page recommendations are made on all sorts of topics such as music, television, and manners of speech. I fell in love when binder clips were recommended over other methods of holding paper together. If you want to check out recommendations or other fun things click the link to the right or one of the links above.

Yeah Binder Clips!

Enimated for a Nomie...

I had a dream a few years back that one was Enimated for a Nomie rather than Nominated for and Emmy. Whichever it is the nomination have come out and "Will and Grace" as well as "Desperate Housewives" have both have both come away with 15 nominations each. I hate to say it as I was once a huge W&G fan I can't see how they were nominated for 15 awards. That being said I am not sure how they were even given another season. A very Nicolas Cage weekend...

Just a few things first:
On the way to the library Thursday I saw a clown. (If any of you are afraid of clowns all I have to say is...grow up, they're not scary.
***
Summer television without cable is really bad...alright even with cable it is pretty bad, but without...its just horrible.
***
Does anyone want to go to either New York, Paris, or LA with me next weekend?
(It will be fun!)

Ok, now the Cage:
I watched Matchstick Men for the hundredth time. I had never watched the behind the scenes stuff or the movie with the commentary before. Can you believe that? Just in case you were worried it was great, and the twist gets me every time, yes even when the director and writers were talking about it. (Don't laugh at me. It's not nice.)
***
Did you know that Ted Griffen who wrote O11 also wrote the screenplay for Matchstick with his brother? Well now you do.
***
I also watched National Treasure (for the first time). It was ehh.
***
Then I realized that Nicolas Cage kinda annoys me. Also (according to IMDB) he has eight movies is some stage of production right now.

Have you noticed I like web links? Cause I do.

Also an update on the wedding supplies. Now one side of the sign says 10% off while the other side still says 0% off.

Works like a dream...

Who needs Ambien when you have O11. Last night I was having a hard time falling asleep so I did what any normal person would do. I put in the Oceans 11 DVD, and I was soon fast asleep. It was also really great waking up this morning to the closing credits. (Apparently it played on a continuous loop all night long.)
NOTE: O11 doesn't make me want to fall asleep it is just so soothing.
