this guy is so in tune...

Last Friday my sister and I took a little trip to Dayton, Ohio to see one of the coolest people in the world. I love Mike Doughty and you should to. I’ve told you this before but I don’t think you were listening.

The trip started out smoothly with drinks and snacks, bread and cheese, yum. Then when we were about to hit the Michigan, Ohio border we got that distinct odor of burning rubber/plastic. With the car trouble I’ve had thus far this summer we decided to pull over and check it out. After lifting the hood we looked and sniffed around and determined that the smell was not coming from my car. As soon as we were back on the road we both regretted that we did not document this little detour so about 30miles down the road we staged a reenactment.

Once we reached the University of Dayton we determined that we are glad that we do not attend classes there. We didn't fit in at all with the student body. I'm not really sure how to discribe them. Maybe Katherine can help me out here. Lucky for us this is was not the case of our fellow Mike Doughty fans. It turns out that Mike Doughty fans come in many different shapes. The most interesting to watch: Hippy Families. The hippy families provided almost as much entertainment as the concert itself. We were un-able to ascertain many of the children’s names but the youngest was named; Olivine (sp?).

The concert was great. Mike played many great songs and even asked for requests, however many of the requests he said "no" to. The highlight of the trip home was a stop at the Waffle House, and a greeting home by my friend the chipmunk. (Seriously, any suggestions on getting rid of the damn thing?)

Little clip of Mike singing 27 Jennifers. Lovely

help...

hey reader, do you know how to get rid of a chipmunk that has taken up residence in your house without harming it? It's going on a week with this thing living in my house and it is driving me crazy!
