If only this was an April fools joke

I have known that it has been coming for sometime now, but the worst has finally happened. I read an article yesterday that said that Noah Wyle is leaving er. This may not seem like life or death to some, but to me it is close. I have been watching er since the beginning, and with each cast member that has left I have said "at least we still have Carter". I have told many people that the day that Carter leaves is the day I stop watching my beloved er but, the folks at NBC and presumably Noah Wyle himself have decided that it would be best for him to do a few episode a year in the upcoming two seasons. This means that I most likely will continue to watch "just in case" Darn them!!
