Wish I would have said this...

While it is not particularly clever I do wish I would have said this. "The murals in restaurants are on par with the food in museums."-Peter De Vries. I guess I just find in somewhat amusing, I may be the only one, but that is fine with me.

Word of the Week

I thought that it might be fun to learn some new words so every Monday I will post the word of the week. This weeks word:

taciturn(adjective) [TAS·i·turn']
1. habitually reserved and uncommunicative: "John grew up in a formal and taciturn household."
noun form: taciturnity adverb form: taciturnly

What are your thoughts? Try to use this word at least once a day for the next week, see how it works out. At the very least impress your friends with a new word.

Road Rage

So today I made the trek home. Ok so it really isn't that much of a trek but it seems like it to me. I hate to drive anything more than thirty miles, so the seventy-ish miles from my apartment to my parents house is almost unbearable. But it is something that you just have to do sometimes, so I got in my car and started on my way, things were fine at first, that was until I pasted the first bright orange sign signaling that there was road construction up ahead, and everyone should merge left. (luckily for me I was already in the left lane going slightly over the speed limit) There were two separate spots on my trip home where there was one lane closed, but for no apparent reason. Orange cones blocking off one lane for miles, but no men, no machinery, no holes in the road, no reason at all, other that to frustrate me I guess. Well I guess it doesn't seem as bad now, but at the time it was unbearable.

What do you think?

"It is because of optimists that pessimists know how happy they aren't" (sadly I do not know who said this, but whoever you are I would like to give you credit)

I heard this quote on the morning news about a month ago, I really like it, and I would like to know what you think. I know it is not the most thought provoking quote ever, but still please humor me. Do you think you are an optimist or a pessimist? Do you think that this quote applies to you? ect...

Time to ask the "tough" questions.

This is for you Katherine...Mostly because you are the only one reading.

Question for today:
Why is it that on the first day when the temp. reaches above freezing people feel the need to act like it is really warm out?

So in the last few days the temp here in Michigan has reached above freezing, something that has not happened for some time now, and by above freezing I mean 35-40 degrees F. Now that it is officially spring and the temp is above freezing I have noticed many people that are no longer wearing coats, and I don't mean they are just not wearing bulky winter coats, but no type of jacket whatsoever. Not only are people going out without the proper attire they are now buying iced coffee. Isn't that the sort of thing you buy to cool off? I do understand the longing for warmer weather, but getting pneumonia will not help it to come any sooner.

Oh, well this is my question for today. I hope that you enjoy it!

This is it!!!!!

So this is my first post and I must say that I really don't know what I am doing. I decided that I would start this blog as a way to pose all the really "tough" questions that I ask myself everyday. I am not sure that anyone will be reading this, but I can only hope right? Well, I guess this is it, my official first post! (There should be more coming soon!)
