Emily's Emmy round-up...

Awhile back I posted my picks for the Emmy in a few categories, well now the results are in lets see how I did. (note: my picks were who I would like to see win, not who I thought would win.)

  • Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series, my pick- Zach Braff, winner- Tony Shalhoub
  • Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series, my pick- Marcia Cross, winner- Felicity Huffman
  • Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series, my pick- Mariska Hargitay, winner- Patricia Arquette
  • Outstanding Individual Performance In A Variety Or Music Program, my pick- Jon Stewart, winner- Hugh Jackman
  • Outstanding Comedy Series, my pick- Desperate Housewives, winner- Everybody Loves Raymond

(so far 0/5, not bad, not bad)

  • Outstanding Comedy Series, my pick and winner- The Daily Show With Jon Stewart

(yes, I finally got one!)

  • Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie, my pick- William H. Macy (although sorry Bill I would like to amend this, I really liked Geoffrey Rush in The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, but I had not watched it yet when I did my picks.) Oh look who won- Geoffrey Rush
  • Outstanding Variety, Music Or Comedy Series, my pick- Late Show with David Letterman, the winner- The Daily Show (Hey, can't be upset about that.)

So all in all my picks were not the big winners of the night, but still isn't everyone a winner? Well, not if you ask Ellen.

In other Emmy news:

  • Sean Hayes, your little "I'm pretending to be asleep thing", not funny and kinda rude I think.
  • Mr. Trump, yeah singing not your thing, although the overalls are a good look.
  • Blue Man Group, entertaining as always.
  • Late Show with David Letterman, the bear thing is getting kinda old.
  • Patrica Arquette, that hair, why?
  • S. Epatha Merkerson, it might not be a good idea to put your notes in your cleavage.
