March of the Penguins...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Silo has left Roy for Scrappy after a six year relationship in which the two raised an egg together. Silo and Roy are two male penguins at New York's Central Park Zoo the two have been a couple since 1999, that was until Silo met Scrappy a female penguin and broke it off with Roy leaving him all alone. A zoo keeper said in a phone interview with the Chicago Tribune of they new couple "They had an egg. It didn't work out and they might try again." The world first learned about this pair in a NY Times article so aptly named "The Love that Dare Not Squeak Its Name." I guess all we can do now is hope for the best for poor Roy, that and stay tuned for further updates.
