about the size of a child's lunch box...

Sometimes when you are wide awake in the middle of the night you watch infomercials. I can't tell you how many times I've seen the one for the Magic Bullet, it's to the point now that my sister and I can talk about our favorite parts. Yeah we all know now that it's "the ultimate party machine". But every once and awhile you catch one that you haven't seen before. Have you seen the Tow Truck in a Box(pictured below)? I have. By this point we all know infomercial convention like multiple selling points no matter how ridiculous they are, and the free offer. Well of course The Tow Truck in a Box follows this time honored tradition.
Selling points: Easy Assembly. Easy to Use. Compact Design. Handy Storage Box, and here is where I have a problem. The handy reinforced storage box is nothing more that a coated cardboard box. The Tow Truck in a Box is a set of three metal plate that fit together and go in front or behind a stuck tire on your vehicle to help you get out. Now, I would imagine that this devise would most often be used in mud or snow, right? Now what happens when you put something wet in a cardboard box? Now, you might be saying "but it is a reinforced, coated cardboard box" and you would be correct. But, the coating is going to wear away especially at the folds and edges. I just don't think this box is a good marketing tool.
Now for the free offer. The Tow Truck in a Box comes with the Handy Aim Light (also pictured below), which fits on a spray can like spray paint for example. I don't know about you but I don't do much spray painting in the dark. It might be good for hard to see areas but really how "handy" is it? But, I guess what really gets me about the Aim Light is that they make the point is saying that it can also be used as a flashlight alone. (When they show this in the infomercial they light is still atop a spray can.) Not only can you use it as a light alone it only requires one hand to operate. What kind of flashlights are these people using that require more than one hand to operate?
I guess I should try to sleep at night rather than watching TV.
